Fiji Sun 18 February 2010 Promise of equal rights

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will ensure every citizen is treated equally under his Government.

To that end, he will make a special visit to Rakiraki and Ba today to hear the views of the Fiji-Indian community there.

Commodore Bainimarama said after visiting the Province of Ra last week he did not have a chance to meet with the Fiji-Indian community and had decided to pay them a special visit.

Commodore Bainimarama said in recent years rural areas had been neglected; something he was determined to change.

Commodore Bainimarama will be briefed by Commissioner Western, Lieutenant-Colonel Iferemi Vasu on the outcome of his trip to Ra today.
